Can I freeze Dubai chocolate?
Yes — you can freeze Dubai chocolate, with one trade-off: the kataifi crunch softens. Freezing keeps the chocolate and pistachio filling safe to eat, but the shredded-pastry layer loses some of its signature crispness after thawing.
To freeze it right: wrap each bar tightly in plastic wrap, put it in an airtight freezer bag or container, and freeze for up to about a month for best texture (it stays food-safe longer, but quality declines). To thaw, move it to the refrigerator overnight, then let it come to room temperature for 1–2 hours before unwrapping — opening it cold causes condensation on the surface, which leads to sugar bloom (the dull grey film on chocolate).
If you just need it to keep for a week or two, skip the freezer: an airtight container in a cool, dark cupboard (not the fridge) preserves the kataifi crunch far better.
